Proud to be part of

Science

At All Saints Junior School, we have chosen to use White Rose Science to deliver our Science curriculum.

We aim to inspire our children to be curious about the world around them, opening the doors to scientific understanding through knowledge and enquiry. We aim to provide our children with a range of scientific learning opportunities, both practical and theoretical, whilst constantly developing their bank of scientific vocabulary.

White Rose Science is mapped out meticulously against the National Curriculum, ensuring that every child is progressing across Key Stage 2 when it comes to their scientific knowledge, understanding and skills. However, we don’t stop there. Our science curriculum, using White Rose, aims to develop conscious, thoughtful citizens who care for their world; every year group has multiple units that focus on sustainability and the role science learning can play in combating environmental issues.

Through a rigorous and engaging science curriculum, we are preparing our children for their secondary transition, equipping them with the necessary skills to approach Key Stage 3 (and beyond) with confidence and continued curiosity.

You can find a full description of our science curriculum intent, implementation and impact in the science curriculum document at the bottom of this page.
